I was born & raised in Dubai - one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Growing up here can often excite you with the many sparks of ideas that flash by you daily, and that's what happened to me.
I studied PR & Journalism which never really gelled with me after graduating university in 2013. The force between my mind and photography were always too strong for me to focus on anything else.
It was in university I first decided to pick up the camera, and prove my way into being part of the official media team. This paved me a path to shoot celebrity red carpets, interviews & so much more for events like Emirates Literature Festival and Dubai International Film Festival, to name a few.
I did pursue what my degrees allowed me to since I graduated - but I grew tired. I wanted something more. It took me many years to gather my courage before I decided to jump into the creative field. When I finally got the chance to do that, I never looked back.
I've come a long way in a matter of months, soaking in every ounce of knowledge and gaining recognition within my first 3 months into the field. I was exposed to the region's fastest growing brands & influencers, which got me a magazine cover page debut in no time. After 4 years as a photographer, I was promoted to an Art Director where I was able to contribute toward set designs, directing talent and planning shoots. I also tapped into a talent I did not know I had - moodboards & creative presentation for pitches and strategies - you can say I'm now obsessed with them!
I believe art is depicting what you feel, rather than focusing on the technical. Think of it this way - "Real cooking is more about following your heart than following recipes."
